Zamfara Lawmaker Donates ₦500,000 To Families Of Late VON Reporter

Member representing Maru/Bungudu Federal Constituency, Hon Abdulmalik Zubairu Zannan Bungudu, has donated the sum of five hundred thousand naira (₦500,000) to the families of late Voice Of Nigeria reporter, Hamisu Danjinga.

Presenting the money at the residence of late Danjinga, Hon. Abdulmalik Zubairu Zannan Bungudu represented by former APC Chairman Bungudu LGA Hon. Bashar Bello Aukie, said that they were shocked when they heard the sudden death of late Hamisu Danjibga.

He said, the lawmaker had wanted to come in person but due to some national issues he was not able to come, that is why he sent a delagation to come and condole the families, and also to assist them with the money.

According to him, Zannan Bungudu was worried about the death of late Hamisu Danjibga, and called on the police to ensure that those arrested in connection with the killing have been charged to court.

Responding, the first son of the deceased, thanked the lawmaker for given them the gesture and assured that the money would be used for the purpose it was given for.

Also speaking the zonal secretary zone A of the Nigeria Union Of Journalists comrade Abdulrazak Bello Kaura said the donation came at a time when family members of the deceased are in need .

He advised the families to remain united and assist their younger ones considering the economic situation in the country.

Recall that, late VON Reporter was murdered by his own nephew with assistance of his friend, in an attempt to kidnap him, as reported by the police in Gusau Zamfara state capital.
