A member of the House of Representatives, representing the Rimi, Charanchi, and Batagarawa federal constituency, Architect Murtala Usman Banye, has shown his support for his constituents by donating a generous sum of fifty six million five hundred thousand naira (₦56,500,000).
The Spectacles received this report from the Mobile Media Crew on Thursday, October 12, 2023. It highlighted that the Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umar Radda, has launched a scholarship program for three thousand and forty (3,040) students and provided capital support to one hundred (100) women with small businesses in the local governments of Rimi, Charanchi, and Batagarawa.
During his speech, Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda commended Hon. Architect Usman Murtala Banye for his long-standing commitment to supporting the local community he represents. The Governor mentioned that even before his tenure as a federal parliament member, Hon. Banye had been actively involved in community development.
Governor Radda stated, “It’s important to note that the funds provided have not yet been allocated by the parliament due to the recent tenure, and thus Hon. Banye’s support is independent of this allocation.”
Furthermore, he encouraged other members of the Katsina State Federal Assembly to follow Hon. Banye’s example and extend their support to the community, especially during these economically challenging times.
Architect Usman Murtala Banye also addressed the gathering, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to provide support and capital to the constituents he represents. He hoped that, with time and divine grace, everyone in the local governments would benefit from his representation.
In conclusion, Hon. Banye urged the community to include him in their daily prayers and offered his commitment to providing strong leadership that everyone could be proud of.
Explaining the scholarship system, Dr. Aminu Yusuf Dikko, the committee chairman, outlined that students would need to visit nearby locations to pay their fees.
Several individuals spoke at the meeting, including Dr. Aminu Salisu Tsauri, Head of the Board of Education, and the Katsina State Women’s Commissioner. Others present included Chairman of Rimi Local Government Hon. Nu’umanu Muhammad, Kauran Katsina Head of Rimi Alhaji Aminu Nuhu, and Hon. Muhammad Ali Rimi.
The meeting was attended by various local government politicians, mayors, members of the state parliament, male and female commissioners, and many others.
