In the Saje Area of Abeokuta, the Ogun State Capital, a pastor affiliated with the Christ Liberty Evangelism Church, Rosco, Iyana Iyesi, Ota, named Oyenekan Oluwaseyi, along with three other individuals, have been apprehended in possession of a human skull.
The arrest, which took place in the early hours of Saturday, was carried out by the state police command. The three accomplices, identified as 30-year-old Ibrahim Agbowewe, 40-year-old Suleiman Ogunbunmi, and 57-year-old Gafari Akinsanya, were taken into custody following a tip-off from concerned members of the public who had observed their suspicious activities in the area.
The suspects reportedly confessed that their intention was to employ the human skull for rituals. During the operation, the police also recovered additional items, including a large calabash, a black Toyota Camry car, and a ram, which were subsequently transported to the police station.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola, confirmed the arrests and the suspects’ admission to their intended use of the human skull for blessings and money rituals. Investigations into the matter are ongoing to uncover further details.
