President Tinubu Mourns Passing of Iconic Civil Service Leader

President Bola Tinubu mourns the passing of Adamu Fika, an esteemed elder statesman and former Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, who passed away at the age of 90 on Tuesday.

President Tinubu fondly remembers Wazirin Fika and his significant contributions during a challenging period for the Federal Civil Service. Fika played pivotal roles in nurturing this institution, responsible for shaping and executing public policies, leaving an indelible mark on Nigeria’s history. Notably, he served as both the Head of Service and the chairman of various civil service reform panels.

Tinubu expressed, “Alhaji Adamu Fika’s dedicated service to Nigeria led him through various important roles, culminating in his appointment to the Office of Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, a position he held until his retirement.”
