Afrobeat Star Rema: Illuminati Allegations Addressed

Nigerian Afrobeat sensation, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has unequivocally denied any involvement with the Illuminati secret society. This follows a stir of controversy on social media when Rema posted a brief video teaser for his upcoming extended play (EP) titled ‘Ravage,’ leading some to speculate about a connection to the enigmatic organization.

Rema took to his Instagram story to respond to these allegations and shed light on the symbol featured in his video. He explained that the insignia is a representation of the history of Benin City, his place of birth.

In his statement, Rema addressed his devoted fans, known as “Ravers,” by saying, “Day 1 Ravers, help me educate the new Ravers that I have been on this path for a long time. You all would have so much clarity if you easily Google where I am from, what the key colors of my heritage are, what flies in the skies of Benin every evening, etc.”

He emphasized his artistic evolution, assuring fans that his creative approach will continually evolve. Rema urged everyone to understand their artists and to not entertain baseless claims of Illuminati affiliation. He dismissed the Illuminati talk as “trash” and highlighted the relentless effort he puts into creating art for his audience, asking them to give credit where it is due. He concluded by stating, “Dead it now. Jesus is King.
