Aisha Yesufu Remains Unmoved: ‘Tinubu Is Not My President

Aisha Yesufu, a renowned rights activist and one of the co-conveners of the #BringBackOurGirls movement, has emphatically restated her position that President Bola Tinubu does not hold the role of “her president.” This statement by Yesufu follows her public support for the presidential candidate of the Labour Party and comes in the aftermath of the Supreme Court’s recent ruling in favor of President Tinubu.

In a previous report, it was outlined that a seven-member panel of the nation’s highest court, led by Justice John Okoro, had upheld the electoral victory of Bola Tinubu. Justice Okoro, in delivering the judgment, firmly declared that the petition brought forth by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar lacked the requisite merit for success.

Responding to this significant verdict, Aisha Yesufu chose to reiterate her unwavering stance. In unequivocal terms, she asserted, “Let me repeat, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not my President.”
