On Sunday, President Bola Tinubu warmly greeted the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Chancellor Scholz, who is in Nigeria for a two-day visit, was joined by a delegation of influential German business leaders, including Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) from some of the country’s top companies. Additionally, a cultural delegation accompanied the Chancellor.
The primary objective of this meeting is to strengthen the existing bilateral relations between Germany and Nigeria.
It’s worth noting that this visit marks Chancellor Scholz’s third major trip to Africa and his inaugural visit to Nigeria since President Tinubu’s administration commenced on May 29, 2023.
