All States Will Conduct Orientation Exercises Except Zamfara – NYSC DG

The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Yushau Dogara Ahmed, has announced that the 2023 Batch ‘C’ orientation exercise will occur in all states, with the exception of Zamfara State.

Mr. Dogara made this statement during an appearance on TVC’s ‘Breakfast Show’ on Wednesday, November 1.

He stated, “The orientation exercise will be conducted in all the orientation camps, except for one state, which is Zamfara State. We have carefully assessed the situation and made the decision to exclude Zamfara State.

However, it’s important to note that there will still be corps members serving in Zamfara State. Those assigned to Zamfara will now undergo their orientation in neighboring states such as Kebbi and Sokoto. In all other states, the orientation exercise will proceed as planned.

“My first piece of advice to prospective corps members is to leave early when planning to travel, regardless of their location. It’s essential not to depart late from home. If they begin their journey after 6 o’clock in the evening, it’s advisable to stop and rest for the night at a suitable location before continuing their journey the next day. These precautions are part of our preventive measures.”
