BREAKING: Reps Remove ₦5bn Yacht From 2023 Supplementary Budget

The House of Representatives has excluded the ₦5 billion presidential yacht from the 2023 supplementary budget.

Chairperson of the House Committee on Appropriation, Abubakar Bichi (APC, Kano), made this announcement on Thursday following the approval of the ₦2.17 trillion supplementary budget by the House.

In a statement to reporters, Mr. Bichi explained that the committee eliminated the yacht allocation and reallocated the funds to the student loan section, resulting in a total of ₦10 billion.
