Tinubu’s Female Ministers Dress Like Beauty Pageant Contestants – Ex-Minister

Adebayo Shittu, a former Minister of Communications, criticized the female ministers in President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet, stating that their attire resembles that of beauty pageant contestants.

Shittu shared his views during an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today, emphasizing the importance of government officials approaching their roles with a sense of seriousness.

Having served under former President Muhammadu Buhari from 2015 to 2019, Shittu made these comments in response to President Tinubu’s address to his ministers during a retreat. During the opening of a three-day retreat for ministers and presidential aides, Tinubu cautioned that non-performing ministers would face consequences.

Regarding the president’s warning, Shittu expressed, “I’m pleased that President Tinubu appointed a number of female ministers, but when I see them on television, it appears as if they are dressed for beauty competitions.”

He emphasized the need for all ministers to demonstrate their commitment to the responsibilities of governance and urged the APC government to exhibit greater seriousness in fulfilling its duties.
