NYSC Issues Stern Instructions To Corps Members in Kebbi, Zamfara

In preparation for the formal induction of prospective corps members deployed to Kebbi State, including those from Zamfara due to security concerns, Mrs. Agatha Okolo Banki, the State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Kebbi State, summoned the prospective corps members to the orientation camp at Dakin Gari. Her purpose was to provide them with a comprehensive understanding of the camp’s rules and regulations.

She emphasized that the camp environment operates differently from the academic setting, where individuals have more freedom. The camp is a place where recent graduates are introduced to four essential principles, including orientation, primary assignments, and community development projects.

Banki took the opportunity to caution prospective corps members against misusing social media, emphasizing that any infractions would result in severe penalties.

She also addressed various aspects of their welfare, such as food, camp allowances, dress code, security, the camp clinic, and required kit items.

Furthermore, she announced the appointment of three corps members to act as intermediaries between their fellow corps members and camp officials in preparation for the main camping exercise. She urged them to maintain exemplary social behavior throughout the orientation.
