APC Group Alleges Plot To Create Discord Between Tinubu, Zamfara Governor

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Renewed Hope Integrity Network (ARHIN) has claimed that certain individuals, including a former governor of Zamfara State, are orchestrating a plan to sow discord between President Bola Tinubu and Governor Dauda Lawal for personal gain, thereby compromising national security.

In a statement released yesterday in Abuja and signed by its national coordinator, Malam Danjuma Umar, ARHIN refuted media reports that linked Governor Lawal to sponsoring Atiku Abubakar’s legal team, deeming such allegations as baseless and attributed to individuals seeking attention, particularly those associated with politicians facing investigations for fraud.

The group also denounced attempts to implicate Lawal in the dismissed Tinubu’s certificate controversy, labeling it a tactic to avoid accountability.

Furthermore, ARHIN revealed a purported plot by the former governor Bello Matawalle to sever ties between Zamfara State and the federal government, emphasizing the adverse impact on the state’s development and citizens’ well-being.

The group cautioned against involving President Tinubu in local issues and urged a focus on building a prosperous Nigeria.

Those responsible for the hastily written narrative were dismissed by ARHIN as mere clout chasers working for disgraced politicians in Tinubu’s government, currently under investigation for fraudulent activities. The group emphasized that such claims should not be taken seriously.

In response to allegations linking Dauda Lawal to the Chicago State University certificate saga, ARHIN characterized it as a vain attempt to create animosity between President Tinubu and Governor Dauda Lawal by certain politicians from Zamfara State. The group suggested that these politicians, holding positions under the Tinubu administration, aim to alienate the governor and evade accountability for their alleged crimes.

ARHIN also deemed laughable the assertion that Lawal ‘sponsored’ Atiku Abubakar’s legal team to establish his worth as a newcomer in politics. The group argued that defeating an incumbent Governor with all the state resources at his disposal is a demonstration of an opposition politician’s capability.
