JUST IN: Appeal Court Confirms Dr. Dauda Lawal Zamfara Governor

In a landmark ruling delivered today, November 16, 2022, in Abuja, the Appeal Court solidified the decision of the election petition tribunal, validating Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare as the rightful Governor of Zamfara State. The affirmation of Dr. Dare’s legitimacy as the state’s governor emerged as a pivotal outcome from the court’s judgment.

Presiding over this momentous case were distinguished judges:

1. Oyebisi F. Omoleye – Serving as the Presiding Judge.

2. Jonbo-Ofo JCA (1)

3. Sylvester N. Gbagi JCA (2)

This ruling marks a significant turn of events, firmly establishing Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare as the confirmed and authentic Governor of Zamfara State, reinforcing the decision initially made by the election petition tribunal.

Moreover, the Appeal Court’s verdict also emphasized the defeat of Bello Matawalle from the APC in the election, further solidifying Dr. Dare’s position as the rightful winner, and hence, the authentic Governor of Zamfara State as recognized by the court’s judgment.
