The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State is determined and confident about securing victory in the anticipated rerun elections across three local government areas.
Following the Court of Appeal’s decision to nullify Governor Dauda Lawal’s victory from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and declare the March 18 governorship election inconclusive, the APC believes in its potential for success.
Yusuf Idris, the APC Publicity Secretary in the state, asserted strong optimism about winning the rerun if conducted. He highlighted readiness for the electoral process and assured the citizens of witnessing transparent proceedings.
On the other hand, Mukhtar Lugga, Chief of Staff to the governor, expressed faith in the PDP’s popularity and its prospects in the rerun. He emphasized resilience and confidence in the judiciary, preparing for potential scenarios, including the Supreme Court or another election.
Amidst the differing views, both parties underscored their commitment to providing good governance for the people of Zamfara, emphasizing the forthcoming electoral decisions to be made by the populace.
