We’re Ready For The Re-run Election, Even If It Takes Place Tomorrow – Zamfara Gov

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has officially expressed his readiness to actively engage in the upcoming re-run election mandated by the court in areas where the initial election was deemed inconclusive.

Governor Lawal conveyed this commitment during a speech addressing a substantial gathering of supporters who warmly welcomed his return to Zamfara state.

It’s noteworthy to recall that the re-run election was specifically ordered by the court for Maradun, some polling units in Bukkuyum, and four additional wards in Birnin Magaji.

Governor Lawal’s declaration implies a decision not to challenge the Court of Appeal’s ruling to the supreme court.

Lawal emphasized that Allah had chosen him as the governor of Zamfara state, and with God’s grace, he intended to remain in that position despite any opposition from APC members or other critics.

“I believe God has chosen me to be the Governor, and I don’t see anything they can do to change that.”

“We’ve made significant strides by clearing all entitlements for civil servants and covering WAEC and NECO fees, which the previous administration neglected.”

“In addition, we’ve addressed water scarcity issues and initiated the construction of township roads in Gusau, the state capital.”

“We’ve declared a state of emergency in the education sector, and with God’s grace, we aim to rescue the state from disintegration.”

“They may not be comfortable with our numerous achievements in such a short time.”

He reiterated his commitment to implementing projects that benefit the people and prevent the state from falling apart.

Governor Lawal expressed gratitude to the people for their unwavering support and prayers, urging them to continue in that direction.

“I sincerely appreciate the support and prayers you’ve shown me since my campaigns, and now that I am overseeing the affairs of our dear state.”

“I assure you that, with God willing, I will not disappoint you.”

However, the lingering question remains: Can the APC conscientiously participate in this election? As events unfold, we will continue to provide updates, ensuring you stay informed on this matter through our media reports.
