Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board, ZSUBEB, engaged critical stakeholders in education to enhance Basic education for the brighter future of the state.
The Executive Chairman of the ZSUBEB, Prof. Nasiru Garba Anka who visited the speaker of the Zamfara state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bilyaminu Ismail Moriki; the state commissioner of Education, Malam Wadatau Madawaki said a concerted effort is imperative in revamping Basic Education.
This was contained in a press statement signed and issued to newsmen in Gusau, the State capital by the public relation officer, ZSUBEB, Ibrahim Musa Maizare.
According to the statement, the Chairman embarked on the visitation to relevant stakeholders of the educational sector of the state with a view to leveraging on their expertise and experience to bridge the existing gaps in the Basic Education in Zamfara state.
Prof Anka vowed to reposition the Basic education in the state through collaboration with all the arms of government for positive results. Saying, no stone will be left unturned in his ambition to have a robust Basic Education in Zamfara state.
The Chairman visited the top government functionaries at their various offices in Gusau the state capital, said the executive governor of Zamfara State Dr Dauda Lawal is committed and determine to ensure quality education is impacted in the pupils and students in the state to enable them compute with their colleagues in other developed places.
“The essence of this visit is to have a good working relationship between the legislative and the executive arms of government.” Prof. Anka said.
Moreover, the ZSUBEB chairman disclosed that, his administration as the Executive chairman of the Board will do everything humanly possible to ensure that out of school child are enrolled into schools and that a child of common man in the state will enjoy the dividends of democracy through the administration of Governor Dauda Lawal.
He further assured to cooperate with them in providing avenues and solutions to basic Education and teachers Welfare as the Executive Governor Dauda Lawal has declared a state of emergency on Education, the Board will continue to excel in Education, especially Basic Education which is the foundation.
In their respective response the Speaker Zamfara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bilyaminu samaila Moriki; Hon. Nasiru Abdullahi Maru and Honorable Commissioner of Education Science and Technology Malam Wadatau Madawaki appreciated the Executive chairman and his team for the visit and assured to give all necessary assistance in promoting the activities of Education in the state.
They all agreed that education is the second top priority so they will join hands with the ZSUBEB to boost Education in the state.
During the visit, the Executive Chairman was accompanied by his permanent member, acting secretary and all the Directors of the board.
