In a groundbreaking revelation, the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, unveiled a revolutionary plan to revolutionize the Students’ Loan Application system. Speaking at the 35th convocation ceremony of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) in Lagos, Gbajabiamila detailed an innovative approach that eliminates any intermediary interaction between loan administrators and the beneficiaries.

Expressing the government’s commitment, Gbajabiamila emphasized that concerted efforts were underway to launch the scheme by January 2024. The primary objective remains enabling Nigerian students to effortlessly access loans to support their educational endeavors.

During his address, titled “Empowering Nigerian Youths in the Present Day Economy,” Gbajabiamila outlined the core principles of the revamped system. He highlighted the seamless nature of the process, envisioning a scenario where applicants could apply online, undergo verification procedures online, and receive credits based solely on the authenticity of the submitted documents and credentials.
