Governor Bala has performed a fantastic job with the State’s infrastructure, and anyone visiting Bauchi will witness the enormous improvements he has made, as he has built roads and other infrastructure throughout the entire State. These are really positive achievements.
However, I am aware of a few crucial issues that must be resolved, since they are now more important to the State’s development, especially our deteriorating industries, which have the potential to improve the State in terms of development.
It’s evident that if the industries are operating at full capacity, Bauchi State will be one of the best in terms of development. Late Tatari Ali’s twelve enterprises, which he tried his hardest to develop but eventually failed as a result of the incompetence and negligence of his successors.
One of the State’s with fertile terrain that benefits from both irrigation and rainy farming is Bauchi State. The waya Dam and the Jama’are River can feed the entire State, apart from other land for havesting, if the Government invests heavily in that sector will indeed provide jobs and increase the IGR. As a result, the Government should start implementing sound policies that can enhance and promote the socio-economic development of the State by encouraging peasant farmers to produce more food, and by investing in the Bauchi Fertilizer Company to make farming easier for fermers in the State.
Because Bauchi State is a salary-oriented State, our economy is always stagnated and is currently disintegrating due to the circumstances of delayed Salaries and also the current nation’s economy stagnation and the way the salary delays is geopidizing the State economy, we hope that the Governor will shift the State from being salary-oriented to being business- or economy-development-oriented by promoting small-scale business ventures and making significant investments in the micro economy for the benefit of the state.
The reason I am confident in Governor Bala is that he is a listening Governor who will do everything in his power to revive our ailing industries and boost our IGR so that Bauchi can compete with other States in the field of economic development. Even though Bauchi State has a lot of economic potential, we have lagged behind in terms of growth. For this reason, I urge the Governor to place a high priority on reviving the state industries, and the government should permit foreign investors to collaborate with the State government on this endeavour.
In order to redevelop the State and to promote unity by eliminating sectionalism brought on by political parties, religious affiliation, and tribal discrimination, we founded the associatinon which is “The Native of Bauchi State Multipurpose Association for Development” with aims to the Development of the State and to collaborate with whoever is the Governor, for the State unity and development, which is a matter of great concern to the State. Kaura has made some progress. However, in order to fully complete the task at hand, a blueprint for revitalizing our industries is required in order to increase the IGR and create additional employment opportunities for our unemployed youth.
