Breaking: EEDC Announces Four-Day Power Shutdown

Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC) has announced a scheduled four-day power shutdown in Anambra State. Emeka Ezeh, Head of Corporate Communications at EEDC, revealed in a statement that the planned outage is set to occur from the 2nd to the 6th of December, 2023.

The purpose of this outage is to facilitate essential maintenance on the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) facility. Eze emphasized that the 60MVA power transformer at the GCM station will be inactive for the duration of the maintenance period.

The affected regions primarily encompass customers in Ogbaru District and select areas within Onitsha District, including several feeder lines such as Harbour 33KV, Golden Oil 33KV, Dozzy 11KV, BridgeHead 11KV, E-Amobi 33KV, Atani Water Works 11KV, and others. This outage will notably impact communities like Atani, Bida, Main Market, Iweka, Fegge, and adjacent estates, as well as heavy-industrial clusters within Ogbaru.

EEDC expressed regret for any inconveniences caused to their valued customers due to this development. They assured customers of prompt restoration of services upon completion of the maintenance, reaffirming their dedication to ensuring high-quality service delivery.
