The Saudi monarchy declared the untimely demise of 62-year-old Saudi Prince, Talal bin Abdulaziz bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, revealing that the prince was tragically killed in a plane crash, according to reports from Arabic media, notably published by RT.
The Saudi royal court conveyed the sorrowful news, announcing the prince’s passing through a concise statement. Funeral prayers for the deceased royal are scheduled to take place at the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh.
Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz, a descendant of the first Saudi monarch, King Abdulaziz, was the son of Prince Bandar. Born in 1961, he held the rank of lieutenant colonel in the Royal Saudi Air Force and previously served as the assistant intelligence chief at the GIP, the Saudi intelligence agency, from 2004 to 2012.
While the court’s statement did not disclose the exact cause of death, reports from Lebanon’s Al Mashhad news outlet suggested that the prince met his tragic end when his F-15 fighter jet crashed during a routine training exercise with the Air Force earlier on the same day.
