Breaking: Northern Lawyers Set to Sue FG over Kaduna Massacre

A group of lawyers known as the Concerned Northern Lawyers Forum has announced their intention to pursue legal action against the Federal Government following the tragic military airstrike in Tudun Biri village, Kaduna State. The lawyers, led by Barrister Nafi’u Abubakar, expressed deep concern over the incident that took the lives of over 120 innocent civilians during a Maulud celebration. They emphasized the need for accountability and justice for the victims’ families, stressing the urgency of preventing such tragedies from happening in the future.

During a press conference held in Kaduna, Barrister Nafi’u Abubakar conveyed the forum’s determination to hold those responsible accountable and ensure measures are put in place to avoid similar incidents in the future. The lawyers called for an immediate, independent investigation into the airstrike and urged the government to take responsibility for the incident.

Moreover, the group highlighted the necessity for a review of the Nigerian Army’s rules of engagement and training procedures to prevent any further loss of innocent lives during military operations. They insisted on the importance of the Nigerian Army exercising caution to prevent collateral damage and civilian casualties.
