In a startling disclosure, Sokoto-based Islamic cleric Sheikh Muhammad Yabo has shed light on the Nigerian military’s bombing incidents, emphasizing that these errors have disproportionately affected the northern region, while the south and east have remained unscathed. He condemned Mamu’s detention as a gross injustice, outlining that Mamu’s involvement in mediating between terrorists and the families of abducted Kaduna-Abuja train passengers last year should not warrant such punitive measures. Sheikh Yabo emphasized the disparity in treatment, stressing the absence of a vocal outcry or support from influential northern figures for Mamu’s release.
