Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) in conjunction with Kano State Universal Basic Education Board(SUBEB) has organise five days capacity building training for quality assurance officers of the board .
The chairman of the state SUBEB Alhaji Kabir Yusuf said the board as an agency under the state ministry of education has mandated at ensuring all prescribed standard are met toward achieving the required quality of product of the basic education system.
Saying our concern in kano state with increasing number of school aged children call for collective effort and responsibilities to achieve greater height.
Alhaji Kabir Yusuf further said the training and retraining is good as it means that all are forging ahead in order to build a model of education that will be efficient and effective.
Noted that the present administration of Governor Abba Yusuf has approved the set up Quality Assurance Committee to serve as an effective Evaluation Mechanism to monitor and track teaching and learning at the ministry which SUBEB is the key component of the committee.
He further explain that as the board continuous commitment the board in that direction has conducted e-equality assurance training for Basic Eduction zonal directors and LGEA evaluators aimed to boast their sustaining capacity.
Also speaking at the training state SUBEB director of Hajiya Suwaiba Sade tasks the participants to use the news mechanism technics in improving their responsibility toward achieving desire goals of the present administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
She said quality assurance involve all the process that contribute to the success’s of the learner in term of of their leaning outcome .
Turning to the participants said the training exposed the officers to be equip with challenges in handling the quality assurance and electronic evaluation in addition with progress in term of growth and global competitiveness is being measured by the operation and outputs of the educational system as this had traced to the quality of teaching and learning in schools.
The certificate has been issued to the participants and the training has been held at Mystical Fall Event Space Sultan Road in kano.
