Northern Governor Surprising Gesture for Commissioners in an Unexpected Move

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has allocated 26 vehicles to commissioners from various local government areas across the state. The governor emphasized the importance of responsible usage as he handed over the vehicles to the beneficiaries, cautioning against any form of misuse.

In his statement during the distribution on Wednesday, the governor highlighted the intent behind the provision of these cars, aiming to alleviate transportation challenges faced during official duties and encourage commissioners to actively engage with the challenges within their respective localities.

“These vehicles are not meant for luxury within the state capital but to facilitate visits to local areas after official engagements. It is vital for our commissioners to interact with the people and understand their problems,” stated Governor Idris, emphasizing the government’s commitment to the people.

He further added a stern warning: “These vehicles are intended for specific purposes. Any misuse, including selling or not using them for their designated tasks, will result in immediate dismissal.”

Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Abubakar Garba-Dutsinmari, expressed gratitude on behalf of his colleagues and assured the governor of their commitment to using the vehicles solely for their intended functions.
