Government Seizes Control of Five Airports, Arewa North Cheers Regional Progress

An inspection team from the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development has hailed the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, North-West Nigeria, as a facility equipped with state-of-the-art amenities in the country. Sanusi Gwandu, the team leader and the Ministry’s Director of Finance, lauded the modernity of Kebbi State Airport during their inspection.

Following the team’s recommendations, Kebbi State Airport is part of a significant move by the Executive Council of the Federation, approving the handover and refund by the Ministry of five airports across the nation. These airports include those located in Bayelsa, Bauchi, Gombe, and Nasarawa States.

Post-inspection, the Kebbi State Governor, represented by the Commissioner for Works and Transport, Abdullahi Umar Farouk Muslim, expressed gratitude to the Aviation delegation for their positive appraisal. He assured the Aviation delegation of the State Government’s unwavering dedication to safeguarding these airports. This move signals an imminent shift in the management and development of these aviation hubs, eliciting optimism for Arewa North’s progress and advancement.
