In a significant development, the troops of the Joint Task Force North West Operation HADARIN DAJI (OPHD) have successfully arrested 11 individuals suspected to be logistic suppliers for a notorious terrorist kingpin operating in Zamfara state. The operation is part of the ongoing efforts to curb terrorism and dismantle support networks that sustain such activities in the region.
In a parallel search and rescue operation conducted along Gobirawan Chali and Dangulbi areas, situated along the Dansadau axis in Maru local government area of Zamfara State, the troops successfully rescued 13 kidnapped victims. The victims, who were abandoned by the fleeing terrorists in the late hours of Sunday, are now safe from their captors.
Following the successful rescue mission, all the liberated victims have been handed over to representatives of the Zamfara state government. This ensures their prompt reunification with their families, emphasizing the commitment of the security forces to safeguarding the lives and well-being of the citizens in the region. These operations underscore the importance of collaborative efforts between security forces and local authorities in addressing the complex challenges posed by terrorism and insecurity.
