Gov. Yusuf confident of victory at Supreme Court

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State exudes confidence in a favorable outcome at the Supreme Court regarding the state’s gubernatorial election petition. Speaking at the flag-off ceremony held at Sani Abacha Stadium, he expressed optimism in the fairness and justice that Supreme Court judges would deliver.

The governor’s remarks came during the launch of the Corporate Security Training School’s initiative to train 2,500 security personnel. Established during the tenure of Rabiu Kwankwaso, the school focuses on imparting security skills to youths. Governor Yusuf affirmed, “We are confident that the justices of the Supreme Court would do justice to the appeal before them, so Kano people should be calm.”

The beneficiaries, selected from all 44 local government areas of the state, will undergo training and subsequent employment in various government agencies and parastatals. Governor Yusuf underscored the government’s commitment to youth development and highlighted the inauguration of the program, stating, “Today, we are commissioning this program with 2,500 beneficiaries, all of whom will be trained in security skills.”

Expressing gratitude for the support of Kano residents, the governor urged continued lawfulness and peace, assuring that his administration would persist in providing human development programs supporting the state’s youth. The beneficiaries are slated to secure employment opportunities within state MDAs and the 44 local government councils.
