Zamfara Govt Assures Intervention For Indigenes’ Law Students School Fees

The Zamfara State Government has reassured twenty-five prospective Nigerian Law School students, who are indigenes of the state, that efforts are underway to address their concerns regarding the payment of their 2023/2024 registration fees. Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Wadatau Madawaki, made this announcement in response to queries from the media about the appeal made by Zamfara Law School students for government intervention in their tuition fees.

In a recent statement jointly signed by the forum chairman, Mubasshir Gusau, and Secretary Mahmud Sani-Kaura, the 25 indigenes of Zamfara State, aspiring to enroll in the Nigerian Law School, urgently appealed to Governor Dauda Lawal for assistance in covering their registration fees for the upcoming 2023/2024 academic session.

The students highlighted that over 90 percent of Zamfara State indigenes, who successfully completed their law degrees at various universities and gained admission to the Nigerian Law School, are facing financial challenges due to the increased tuition fees and the economic impact of the fuel subsidy removal.

Commissioner Wadatau Madawaki urged the students to remain calm, assuring them that the state government is actively working to fulfill its commitment to quality education under the leadership of Governor Dauda Lawal. He reiterated that the Ministry of Education in Zamfara State has plans to support all scholarship students, including those in law school, facilitating their educational pursuits and successful completion of their studies.
