Not less than 350 women are to recieve training on various acquisitions skills by Youth and Civil Society Coalition For Development with support from Federal University Dutse (FUD) and Nigeria Television Authority (NTA).
The training aimed at creation of jobs and eradication of poverty among the teeming Youth across Jigawa state.
Speaking at the occasion,Malam Umar Namadi Jigawa state governor has commended the organizer of the training which he described as a good effort that will complement the effort of the state government on youth and women empowerment projects across the state.
The Governor who was ably represented by the executive secretary state Directorate for empowerment,noted that youth and women empowerment are the bedrock and the aspects for his 12 point agenda designed for making people self relaint, promote wealth creation, building strong and resilient economy for making Jigawa great.
“We have already renovated and equipped six major skill acquisition centres in the state,and many youth and women are already there receiving various skills training ,therefore we are ready to partner with any group or individual that perspective
Meanwhile in his speech the chief host and the Vice Chancellor Federal University Dutse Professor Abdulkarim Sabo also commended the YCSD for intimating the training in which the University agreed to partner in.
” There is a popular saying which is also in tandem with our religious belief that,” If you train a Women you Train the society and if you left them than you let society to grounded”.
He than called on the state government to help the trainees with a start off package so that after the training they can have something to start their own business and become self relaint in line with the Governor 12 point agenda.
Also commenting at the occasion the chairman Dutse local Government Hon Bala Chamo Training women and supporting them is key to social security , economic security peace and progress of any society, so this training is timely and is very commendable, And we have it will be sustained.
In his speech the National President of UCSD Comrades Aminu Aminu Sa’id, they organized the training to enhance women productivity and genda participation in National building.
