Official Launch Of ZSCPG Marks a Turning Point In Fight Against Insecurity – Sokoto Gov

Sokoto State Governor, Ahmad Aliyu, extended his heartfelt appreciation for the opportunity to participate in the momentous official launch of the Zamfara State Community Protection Guard (ZSCPG), commonly known as Askarawan Zamfara, held in Gusau, Zamfara State.

Governor Aliyu commended the bold and commendable step taken by the leadership in Zamfara State in their relentless pursuit of overcoming the security challenges that have impeded the progress of their cherished states. He acknowledged the significance of initiatives like the ZSCPG in fostering a safer and more secure environment for the residents.

Reflecting on the positive trajectory initiated by Katsina State and now carried forward by Zamfara State, Governor Aliyu highlighted the efficacy of the training and coaching programs implemented by these states. Emphasizing their commitment, he assured that they would not waver in their determination. The governor pledged to sustain the momentum, pushing forward with unwavering resolve to consign insecurity to the annals of history within their respective states.

In his address, Governor Aliyu articulated a strong belief in the transformative power of such community-based security measures and expressed optimism about the enduring impact they would have on the overall well-being and progress of the states involved.

The Governor released this statement on his official social media platform, formerly known as Twitter and now referred to as ‘X,’ only a day following the inauguration of ASKARAWAN Zamfara. The governor’s entire statement is presented below:

“Earlier, I had the honor of attending the remarkable official launch of the Community Protection Guard (CPG), also known as Askarawan Zamfara, in Gusau, Zamfara State.

This is a courageous step we have taken in our mission to overcome the security challenges that hinder the progress of our beloved states.

First, it was Katsina State, and now Zamfara State. We already have training and coaching programs in place, and we will not relent. We will continue to push forward, and in sha Allah we will make insecurity a thing of the past in our states.”
