The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has made public its search for Margaret Dumbiri Emefiele, spouse of the former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Godwin Emefiele.
Alongside Margaret Dumbiri Emefiele, the EFCC has also declared Eric Ocheme Odoh, Jonathan Omoile, and Anita Joy Omoile wanted. These individuals are alleged to have collaborated with the ex-CBN governor in the misappropriation of significant amounts of government funds.
According to the EFCC’s statement, the accused are facing charges of felony, including obtaining money under false pretenses and theft, as stipulated in Sections 411, 287, and 314 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State.

Godwin Emefiele, the former CBN governor, is currently undergoing trial on amended charges totaling $6,230,000.00, covering offenses such as corruption, conspiracy, breach of trust, forgery, and fraudulent obtaining.
