The Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, has criticized former President Muhammadu Buhari’s policies, labeling them as “reckless” and harmful to Nigerians. Speaking on Channels Television, he expressed regret for policies he believed worsened the plight of the populace.
Oshiomhole emphasized that the current hardships are a consequence of Buhari’s policies and reiterated his commitment to Nigeria’s welfare. He acknowledged others, including governors, who opposed these policies and sought legal recourse.
Regarding President Bola Tinubu, Oshiomhole clarified that while they share a party platform, Tinubu should not bear responsibility for past government decisions as he wasn’t directly involved in governance or contracting.
Similarly, former Central Bank Governor Lamido Sanusi defended Tinubu, attributing the nation’s economic woes to eight years of mismanaged policies, stating it would be unjust to blame Tinubu for the current hardships. He acknowledged Tinubu’s potential future actions, affirming his commitment to critique any detrimental economic policies.
