Popular TikToker Murja Kunya Arrested Unveiled

Kano State’s Hisbah Board made headlines as they apprehended Murja Ibrahim Kunya, a prominent TikToker known for her controversial social media content. The arrest occurred on Tuesday, according to reports from Daily News 24.

The Hisbah Board’s action is part of a broader effort to detain several renowned TikTok skit creators for allegedly sharing explicit skit videos on their TikTok and other social media platforms, actions deemed contrary to the board’s regulations.

This crackdown follows a previous initiative led by Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, the Commander-General of the board, who had extended an invitation to all female TikTokers in Kano. The meeting aimed to offer rehabilitation and empowerment opportunities, including businesses and scholarships, to these individuals.

During the gathering, Sheikh Daurawa emphasized the importance of refraining from sharing content that could promote immorality within society, extending the board’s stance against content that deviates from their established laws and values.
