As part of the efforts made by Bauchi state government in the fight against terrorism and other forms of criminality,Director General On Bauchi state vigilante and youths empowerment agency and doubled as SSA Security Matters To Governor Bala Mohammad,Ambassador Aliyu Umar Shayi disclosed this to journalists shortly after receiving an award of excellence from CP Auwal Mohammad of Bauchi State police command.
This award was conferred to him in recognition of his outstanding efforts,supports and commitment to public safety as well as collaborative efforts in fostering peace and security across Bauchi state.
Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi state has declared total interest of his administration towards deploying technology for effective fight against all forms of crime, criminality in the state,said Ambassador Shayi
Ambassador Umar Shayi appreciated police and other security agencies in the state for their tireless efforts towards tackling security challenges across the state and pledged to continue in synergy with all conventional security agencies in their complete desires to fight terrorism and criminals across Bauchi state.
He acknowledged the harmonious relationship between his local security outlet and conventional security agencies in the state and emphasized the need for synergy among all the stakeholders in order to achieve the desired objectives.
The Ambassador Umar reassured that his agency will not relent in ensuring maintenance of law and order in the state for investment opportunities which will contribute to economic development.
Ambassador who therefore expressed gratitude to police for presenting him with an award of excellence in recognition of his unwavering commitment towards the promotion of peace and security, said the award will ginger him to do more for security services to operate effectively.
On his part,the Bauchi State Commissioner of Police,Auwal Musa Mohammed explained that the award presented Ambassador Umar Aliyu Shayi was in appreciation of his commitment in the maintenance of peace,order,stability in the fight against bandits,cattle rustlers and phone snatchers and security across the state.
Similarly,the Bauchi State vigilante has recovered dangerous weapons such as guns,ammunitions and charms from Bandits in Alkaleri,Ningi local governments as part of their efforts in the fights against all forms of terrorism and the said weapons has since handed over to the conventional security agencies for further necessary investigations,actions in accordance with the provision of the Nigerian constitution.
