UPDATE: Tinubu appoints son-in-law as FHA CEO

President Bola Tinubu has made significant appointments within the Federal Housing Authority (FHA), including naming his son-in-law, Oyetunde Oladimeji Ojo, as the chief executive officer (CEO). Ojo, a former member of the house of representatives, is married to Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, a daughter of the president, adding a familial connection to his new role.

Alongside Ojo’s appointment, Tinubu also appointed Mathias Terwase Byuan as the executive director of housing finance & accounts, Umar Dankane Abdullahi as executive director of business development, Oluremi Omowaiye as executive director of project implementation, and Ezekiel Nya-Etok as executive director of business development and portfolios, thus forming the management team of FHA.

These appointments signal Tinubu’s strategic vision for housing development and financial management within the FHA. Furthermore, in a separate move, President Tinubu named Shehu Usman Osidi as the CEO of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN), indicating a broader restructuring within the housing and mortgage finance sector under his administration.
