ZSUBEB Chair Commends UBEC for Supporting Basic Education Growth in Zamfara

Professor Nasir Garba Anka (Makama of Sokoto South), Executive Chairman of the Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board (ZSUBEB), has lauded the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) for its steadfast support towards the advancement of Basic Education in Zamfara State.

During an interactive meeting for the 1st to 4th quarter 2023 Action Plan with UBEC held at its headquarters in Abuja, Professor Nasir Anka expressed gratitude and affirmed ZSUBEB’s commitment to adhering to all rules and regulations.

The commendation was conveyed in a statement by ZSUBEB’s Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Musa Maizare, shared with The Spectacles on Friday.

Prof. Anka underscored the Zamfara State Government’s dedication, under the leadership of Governor Dauda Lawali, to prioritize education, alongside efforts to address insecurity in the state. Governor Dauda Lawal’s declaration of a State of Emergency on Education reflects this commitment.

While expressing appreciation for UBEC’s support in developing Basic Education in Zamfara State, Professor Nasir Anka appealed for further assistance to realize the state government’s mission of advancing education.

During the meeting, Professor Bala Zakaria, Deputy Executive Secretary (Technical) of UBEC, who chaired the session, commended Prof. Nasir Anka for leading a robust delegation, demonstrating his commitment. Prof. Zakaria congratulated Prof. Anka on his appointment and prayed for his success in discharging his duties.

Accompanying the ZSUBEB Executive Chairman were the board’s Permanent Members, including Alhaji Bala Aliyu Gusau, Rufa’i Jibiril Muhammad, and various directors and desk officers.
