ZSUBEB Chairman Awards Head Teachers, Principals For Outstanding Performance

The Executive Chairman of the Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board (ZSUBEB), Professor Nasir Garba Anka, recently recognized and awarded three Head Teachers of Primary Schools and Principals of Junior Secondary Schools in Zamfara State for their exceptional performance. The awards were presented as part of Professor Anka’s efforts to boost teacher morale and enhance productivity.

During an unscheduled visit to their respective schools, Professor Anka assessed the excellent performance of the awardees, which led to the recognition. The gesture was aimed at acknowledging their dedication and commitment to their work.

This was contained in a statement signed and issued to news men by the ZSUBEB public relations officer, Ibrahim Musa Maizare a copy which was made available to The Spectacles on Tuesday.

Professor Anka, also known as the Makama of Sokoto South, stated, “I decided to reward them because I was impressed with what I saw. It gives me courage to support them. That is why today, surprisingly, I invited them to my office without informing them. Nobody knew my intention about this award.”

In addition to the awards presented, Professor Anka announced plans to organize an annual award program for Head Teachers and Junior Secondary School principals/teachers across the 14 local government areas of the state. This initiative is intended to serve as a motivation for teachers to enhance their productivity.

The awarded Head Teachers include Isah Musa from Army Children School Gusau, Aminu Jibril from Science Primary School Gusau, Binta Malam Dogo from Shattima Model Primary School, and Zulaihat Muhammad from Government Day Secondary School, Gusau. Each awardee received a fan, laptop, and science kits.

Professor Anka called on teachers to pray for the present administration of Governor Dauda Lawal to enable him to fulfill his campaign promises.

The award presentation ceremony was attended by the board’s Permanent Members, Madawaki Alhaji Dahiru Shehu, Alhaji Bala Aliyu Gusau, Rufa’i Jibril Muhammad, Acting Secretary Aminu Musa Kanoma, Directors, and other staff of the board.
