President Bola Tinubu has appointed Mr. Gbenga Alade as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON).
Alade takes over from Ahmed Kuru, who assumed office in August 2015.
The appointments were announced by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, in a statement titled, ‘President Tinubu appoints new AMCON management team.’
In addition to Alade’s appointment, Tinubu also named three new executive directors for AMCON. They are Aminu Ismail, Adeshola Lamidi, and Lucky Adaghe.
The President expects the new appointees to demonstrate “unflagging dedication, professionalism, and dutifulness” to ensure AMCON’s operations are more efficient, transparent, and in line with his efforts to sanitize the nation’s financial system and enhance investor confidence in the Nigerian economy.
