Tragic Loss in U.S. Military Helicopter Accident

During routine training in Mississippi, a U.S. military attack helicopter tragically crashed, claiming the lives of two Mississippi National Guardsmen, as confirmed by Governor Tate Reeves.

The AH-64 Apache helicopter went down at 2 p.m. Central Time, with authorities currently on site managing the aftermath alongside safety crews.

This incident follows a similar tragedy on Feb. 6, when a Marine helicopter crashed near San Diego during harsh weather conditions, resulting in the loss of five Marines.

Weather data indicates significant wind gusts prior to the crash, underscoring the challenging conditions faced during training exercises. Such accidents serve as stark reminders of the risks associated with military training operations.
