BREAKING: NLC Members Demonstrates Against Economic Struggles in Lagos

Nigeria Labour Congress members have taken to the streets of Lagos State to voice their concerns about the prevailing economic challenges.

They are also highlighting the alleged failure of the government to honor agreements made on October 2, 2023, subsequent to the removal of the fuel subsidy.

This action comes after the expiration of a 14-day ultimatum issued to the Federal Government to address the widespread hardship.

Following a meeting last night between the federal government and the NLC, which ended without resolution, the union decided to proceed with the protest.

In a show of solidarity, NLC members gathered at the Ikeja underbridge, chanting and dancing, as they call for the government to heed their demands.

The demonstration is anticipated to continue tomorrow.
