A gang of hoodlums targeted a BUA truck transporting cartons of spaghetti along the Dogarawa axis of the Zaria-Kano expressway, resulting in the arrest of at least 10 suspects.
Though Kaduna Police spokesman ASP Mansir Hassan did not confirm the arrests initially, he assured The Nation of forthcoming updates upon contact.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident unfolded at approximately 3:15 pm when the truck driver stopped at Dogarawa to observe prayer, a settlement located on the outskirts of Zaria along the Zaria-Kaduna expressway.
Umar Shehu recounted that upon the truck’s halt, the hoodlums swiftly began pilfering cartons of spaghetti from the vehicle, completely emptying its contents before security personnel arrived. The distraught truck driver was reportedly left in tears, unable to deter the assailants.
This unprecedented event left the community and surrounding areas in shock, as not a single carton of spaghetti remained on the truck by the time the hoodlums fled.
Following the incident, a team of police officers dispatched to the scene managed to apprehend approximately 10 suspected perpetrators.
