NYSC DG Urges Corps Members to Avoid Local Politics

Brigadier-General Yusha’u Ahmed, the Director General of the National Youth Service Corps, emphasized the importance of self-development to corps members during their service year.

Addressing corp members at the conclusion of the 2024 Batch ‘A stream 1 orientation programme in Sokoto, Ahmed urged them to prioritize their personal growth and avoid involvement in local politics.

He stressed the significance of positively impacting their host communities and encouraged them to assimilate into their designated localities.

Ahmed highlighted the opportunity for skills acquisition and entrepreneurial development within the Scheme, urging corps members to seize it to become self-sufficient and contribute to the nation’s prosperity.

Additionally, he emphasized the importance of security awareness and urged corps members to take their safety seriously while promoting national unity through responsible social media usage.
