Former Zamfara State Governor Senator Ahmed Sani, Yariman Bakura, has strongly condemned the recent killing of the Chairman of the Gusau Local Government Ulama Council of JIBWIS, Imam Abubakar Hassan Mada, by unidentified terrorists.
He described the act as un-Islamic and barbaric, comparing it to the Jahiliyya period when human life was not valued. Yariman Bakura urged the Zamfara State Government to take decisive action to prevent such incidents in the future.
He also expressed condolences to the deceased’s family, the JIBWIS Gusau Local Government Branch, and the Muslim community, praying for the deceased to be granted Al-Janat Firdaus.
In a statement issued by the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Ahmed Sani, Yariman Bakura, Hon Junaidu Dosara Attahiru, a copy of which was made available to The Spectacles on Thursday.
The statement read in part; “Former Zamfara State Governor Senator Ahmed Sani, Yariman Bakura has described as Un-islamic and barbaric the recent killing of the Chairman, Gusau Local Government Ulama Council of JIBWIS, Imam Abubakar Hassan Mada by some un- identified terrorist group of persons.
Former Zamfara State Governor Yarima said, the ugly happening has drawn us back to the Jahiliyya period whereby human blood wasn’t sacred.
He said the action of the Perpetrators shouldn’t be condoned by Zamfara State Government with a view to halting its future occurrence.
According to him, the death of Imam Abubakar Hassan Mada has created a vacuum especially in the area of Islamic Education for the deceased had dedicated his time to the cause of Islam.
Senator Ahmed Sani, CON, FCNA (Yariman Bakura), condoled the deceased family, JIBWIS Gusau Local Government Branch, Its National Headquarters under the Chairmanship of Sheikh Dr. Abdullahi Bala Lau and Muslim Ummah for the great loss and Prayed Allah SWT to grant him with Al-Janat Firdaus.”
