Kwara: Driver Dies of Heart Attack While Driving University Students to School

In a tragic turn of events, a commercial bus driver known as Lukman passed away suddenly while transporting students from the Sanrab Petrol Station area in Tanke, Ilorin to the University of Ilorin campus. The incident, which occurred on Friday, left the passengers in a state of shock.

According to a witness who shared the incident via a viral WhatsApp message, the driver collapsed while behind the wheel, prompting another passenger to take control of the moving bus to prevent further harm. The witness described the harrowing experience of having to step in to stop the drifting bus and bring it to a safe halt.

Reflecting on the sudden loss, a colleague of the deceased, Sulyman Malik, expressed disbelief, emphasizing the transient nature of life. The deceased, described as a handsome individual, was laid to rest in accordance with Islamic customs.

Mr. Kunle Akogun, the Director of Information at the University of Ilorin, confirmed the incident, describing it as unfortunate and serving as a poignant reminder of life’s fragility.
