Defence Ministers Express Deep Concern Over Killing of Military Personel in Delta

The recent tragic incident involving the loss of military operatives in Delta State has prompted a strong response from Defence Minister Muhammed Badaru and Minister of State for Defence Bello Matawalle.

In a joint statement issued on Monday, the ministers denounced the violence that led to the death of operatives from the 181 Amphibious Battalion during a rescue mission in Okuama Community, Ughelli South Local Government Area.

Highlighting the sacrifices made by servicemen and women in protecting the nation, the ministers emphasized the importance of bringing the perpetrators to justice. They reiterated their commitment to upholding Nigeria’s sovereignty and stability, pledging to ensure the security and well-being of all citizens.

Assuring the public of their determination to maintain peace and tranquility nationwide, the ministers reaffirmed their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s agenda for national renewal.
