Bello Bodejo, a leader of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore group, has been brought before a Federal High Court in Abuja on allegations of unlawfully establishing and supporting an ethnic militia group known as Kungiya Zaman Lafiya.
Bodejo appeared in court on Friday to face a three-count charge filed by the office of the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), accusing him of violating the Terrorism (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022.
Pleading not guilty to the charges, Bodejo was ordered to remain in the custody of the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) by Justice Inyang Ekwo, who adjourned the trial until May 27.
