Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has refuted recent media claims suggesting that his administration earmarked a hefty ₦6 billion for the Ramadan Feeding Programme.
In a statement released via his official communication channel on Sunday, Governor Yusuf clarified that the actual budget allocation for the program stands at ₦1.97 billion for the entire month.
Emphasizing the importance of accurate reporting, he urged the media to verify information from credible sources rather than relying on speculative figures.
Expressing his concern over the program’s execution, Governor Yusuf voiced his disappointment during an impromptu visit to a feeding center in Gidan Maza, Municipal Local Government Area, on Friday.
He criticized the handlers of the program, citing what he perceived as shortcomings in effectively catering to the needs of the intended beneficiaries.
