Kaduna-based Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, has spoken out after being summoned by the Department of State Services regarding his remarks on the activities of bandits in Nigeria.
Gumi stated that the invitation was necessary and described his interaction with the security agents as fruitful.
The Minister of Information and Orientation, Mohammed Idris, confirmed Gumi’s invitation, emphasizing that adherence to the law applies to everyone.
In response, Gumi took to social media to address the situation, reassuring the public that there was no cause for alarm. He emphasized the importance of unity in tackling national challenges and expressed gratitude for the concern shown.
