ZSUBEB Promotes Over 2,000 Teachers Across 14 LGEA in Zamfara

The Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board’s standing Committee for appointment and promotion has submitted its report to Professor Nasir Garba Anka Makaman Sokoto South, the Executive Chairman of the board.

Presenting the report, Rufa’i Jibiril Muhammad, the chairman of the committee, stated that the committee visited all fourteen local government Education Authorities for the exercise. A total of 2,020 teachers, ranging from grade level 6 to 16, have been promoted.

Muhammad provided a breakdown of the promotions: 19 from Grade level 16, 27 from grade level 15, 163 from grade level 14, 305 from grade level 13, 162 from grade level 12, 406 from level 10, 232 from level 9, 165 from level 8, 51 from level 7, and 7 from grade level 6.

In a statement issued to The Spectacles by ZSUBEB public relations officer, Ibrahim Musa Maizare, it was disclosed that the number of workers promoted varied by local government, with Anka having 112, Bakura 71, Birnin Magaji 95, Bungudu 152, Bukuyum 91, Gummi 63, Gusau 381, Kaura Namoda 35, Maru 89, Maradun 160, Talata Mafara 242, Tsafe 305, Shinkafi 131, and Zurmi 86 teachers promoted.

The committee’s chairman commended the efforts of the board under the leadership of Prof. Nasir Anka for entrusting them with the mandate. He assured continued dedication to their duties and pledged support for Governor Dauda’s administration to fulfill their campaign promises.

In response, Executive Chairman ZSUBEB Prof. Nasir Anka commended the committee for their exemplary work despite the limited resources provided.

Anka emphasized that the welfare of teachers remains a top priority for the board and reaffirmed their commitment to fulfilling promises made during his tenure. He announced that the standing committee for appointment and promotion would ensure timely processing of promotions and assured that the report would undergo careful scrutiny before being presented to the Executive Governor for final approval.
