Nigerian Army Confirms Killing of ‘Notorious Bandit Leader,’ Fasagora, Scores of Fighters

The Nigerian Army has confirmed the elimination of a prominent terrorist leader, Junaidu Fasagora, and numerous members of his group in Zamfara State. The operation, comprising intense artillery bombardment and ground engagement, took place in the Tsafe general area.

Fasagora and his cohorts have long been associated with numerous kidnappings and acts of terrorism across multiple states in the North West region.

In a statement released via its official channels, the military declared, “The successful neutralization of Fasagora and his associates marks a significant milestone in the ongoing fight against terrorism and insurgency.”

This victory underscores the Nigerian Army’s unwavering commitment to restoring peace and security, not only in the North West but also across the nation. Troops remain steadfast in their efforts to combat terrorism, insurgency, and various criminal activities, aiming to bring stability to affected areas.
